A soggy evening for the BDGA Ladies’ Championship Final at Greenmount
Early June saw the Bury & District Golf Association Ladies’ championship at Greenmount and the Bolton Ladies’ Championship at Breightmet.
Whilst the qualifying round at Greenmount was played in the dry, Harwood’s Amelia Taylor, who got through to the semi-finals, played her match against Ellie Looker in appallingly wet weather on 10th June. After a hard-fought match Ellie went through to the final against Andrea Holt from Bury and became the BDGA Ladies’ Champion winning on the 18th, again in appalling weather conditions. We witnessed some fine golf in the semis and the final. Congratulations to all participants.
