Ladies
Harwood Golf Club has an active ladies’ section which is made up of experienced golfers as well as those new to the game. We are a friendly bunch of individuals who all enjoy what golf has to offer:
Exercise - Fresh Air – Beautiful Scenery - Challenges – Friendships – Fun
We play both competitive golf and social golf. Our competitive golf is played at club level and also externally as we belong to both the Bury and Bolton Golf Associations and the Lancashire, East Lancashire and Manchester and District Golf Associations. There are therefore many opportunities to play at courses throughout Lancashire. Social golf is organised through regular roll ups.
We have a supportive network of ladies who are keen to introduce the wonderful game of golf to newcomers. We have in recent years developed a pathway into golf through taster days and group coaching sessions and these have been extremely successful.
In addition to golf, we have a healthy social calendar and impressive clubhouse facilities.
It’s all smiles – we’ve got a fun comp!
Whilst we all take our weekly golf seriously, it’s always particularly enjoyable when we have a fun “team” competition. This was a “Texas Scramble” we played on 16th September (alternate day 12th September) and pictured above, just before heading out onto the course, are the eventual winners, Pauline, Kate and Elaine. This format, which basically… Read more »
