Bell Cup
Harwood Ladies have had a great run in the Bell Cup this year, opening their campaign with a win against Great Lever & Farnworth away on 11th May.
We then had winning matches against Mere and Sandiway, both at home. Harwood’s Bell Cup team, managed by Clare MacLeod, therefore got through to the last eight in this prestigious Manchester & District Competition. This match was played at Manchester Hopwood against Dean Wood on 29th July. Each match was very close and hard fought but Dean Wood won out in the end. Whilst this was a disappointing result for Harwood we are proud to have progressed so far in this competition. One of our junior members, Jenny Murphy, has played in all of the matches and she has proved a great asset to the team.
