Harwood hosts Bolton Golf Cot
The 2022 Bolton Ladies’ Golf Cot was held at Harwood on Wednesday 11th May. This is an annual charity golf day which raises funds for local charities. 80 ladies from Bolton golf clubs entered the competition, and despite a rather dismal and rainy start the sun eventually emerged and conditions improved. Harwood Team 3, namely Rita Towler, Anne Oakes, Vicky Boyes, Sylvia Martin and Irene Wood, won the team prize, The Golf Cot Trophy, and Harwood’s Irene Wood won 1st Prize in Division 2. 1st Prize in Division 1 was won by Dr Liz Perry from Breightmet Golf Club. Everyone agreed the course was in great condition thanks to the hard work of the grounds’ staff. So, a great day was had by all, plus valuable funds were raised for this year’s charities, The Frost Foundation and Fort Alice .
