Harwood Harmonies, the community choir founded and based at the golf club several years ago, were delighted to take their show on the road recently and put on a Jubilee themed concert at Vincent Court, a retirement living complex in Bolton. The room was beautifully decked out with union jacks and bunting and the dress code was definitely “red, white and blue”. The performance included some big numbers from the choir’s repertoire and some nostalgic solos from Choir Mistress, April Grime, but also included some rousing community singing from the audience accompanied by much flag waving. After singing our hearts out we were treated to a splendid buffet provided courtesy of all the residents. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
