The first two rounds of this year’s Women’s championship were held on the 5th and 6th of July. Fortunately, we had good weather this year and the course was in a brilliant condition. The players with the best combined gross scores over the two rounds went forward to play in the knockout. Playing in the semi-finals were Amelia Taylor v Lesley Hardman and Judith Simms v Eileen Beeney. The winners of the semi-finals were Amelia Taylor and Judith Simms who played the final on Friday, the 11th of July. It was an exciting match with Amelia taking the title. Congratulations to Amelia who played magnificently.
