In March the Women’s Section began an initiative to promote the participation of girls in golf: Driving Girls’ Golf. The programme was organised by Carol Brooking with Dale providing group coaching. Carol secured funding from James Holman of Bolton Spinal Health Clinic which has covered the costs of coaching and temporary membership.

 

There are seven Year 7 girls from Canon Slade in the group. They have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and, as the 6 weeks of coaching comes to an end, we hope to integrate them into the Junior Section with free membership until the end of March 2026.
