Easter Bunnies on the Course!

Good Friday saw the Women’s annual Easter Egg competition at Harwood Golf Club and it turned out to be a very successful and fun day. As a departure from previous years, Captain Kate asked that this competition be run as a fundraiser for her chosen charities, The Batten Disease Family Association (www.bdfa-uk.org.uk) and SeeAbility (www.seeability.org)
Accordingly, our competition fees went towards the charities and the prizes were provided by this year’s officials. Captain Kate lavished us all with seemingly endless chocolate treats as we tee’d off, playing a 4-ball better ball format. It was a light-hearted, unpressured game and most of us were back in the clubhouse before the rain started. More chocolate treats followed, together with an exquisite chocolate themed raffle. Everyone was extremely generous and the day raised £265 for Captain’s very worthy charities.
Pictured are the winners, Judith Simms and Eileen Beeney who scored 32 stableford points over 13 holes. Runners up, with 31 points, were Sue Manning and Gillian Rogers, also pictured below.
