Harwood Ladies did the club proud recently in the prestigious Bolton Ladies’ Challenge Bowl.  This competition takes place over two days and has been held every year since the 1920’s.

Elaine Smith from the Club was the winner of the higher handicap division with a wonderful net score of 67 in Round 1 and a net score of 77 in Round 2.

Katherine Jones, also from the Club, was the runner up with a score of 76 and 70.  Rita Towler was the runner up for the best Division 1 net score in Round 1.  Sue Docherty was runner up for the best net score in Division 2 in Round 1.

The Harwood team of Elaine Smith, Rita Towler and Clare McLeod won the Constance Lever Trophy for the best team net score.

The Challenge Bowl organisers praised the quality of the course and the catering and thanked the Club for the generous hospitality shown.
